As a result of increasing requests from local social services agencies and the Kent County Juvenile Court, Lighthouse Academy has now expanded to a second location in Northeast Grand Rapids in order to serve more students in need of an individualized, holistic educational approach.
This second campus is designed after the original Lighthouse Academy, utilizing many of the same successful program components and therapeutic teaching approaches. The school will serve expelled and court-placed students, as well as students from the Kent County Juvenile Court, Kent Fields and Day treatment, The Haven and D.A. Blodgett - St. John's homes.
We invite you to tour the new Lighthouse Academy - North Campus school at our Open House on August 20, from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. and see the transformation and growth that our school has experieced. Our campus is located near the corner of Leonard and Fuller at 1260 Ekhart St. in an existing building that has recently undergone renovations to configure the space into classrooms.
